Questions
What do we need to install?
One installer per workstation. It connects the AI clients it finds, so there is nothing to configure by hand and no programming skills are required.
Which versions are supported?
AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2027 on Windows. Need another version? Email founders@plantengineer.ai and we will move fast to support it.
Where does our data go?
The MCP server runs locally on your workstation. We do not share your data with any AI model; it only reaches the AI tools you already use.
What if the agent gets it wrong?
In read-only mode, your agent can only inspect the model. With write access, you can ask your agent to revert the changes, or use AutoCAD’s undo as usual.
Can it run our own workflows?
Yes. Give your agent skills for your company’s checks, numbering schemes and deliverables.

Building the tools I wished I had while designing a chip factory at SpaceX.
Brecht is a mechanical engineer trained at Caltech and ETH Zürich. He designed space antennas at NASA JPL and a chip packaging line at Starlink, then spent two years building AI agents for complex engineering projects at Macadamia Labs Inc., his first company, backed by Y Combinator.
